About Us
CAPRO exists because capturing and processing large data has become central to social science and humanities research, while the technical support for it has not kept up. We fill that gap.
A team inside the university
We are based at the Department of Psychology, University of Oslo, and work with projects across the social sciences and humanities at UiO and beyond.
Engineers who have done research
Everyone on the team has worked in research. We know ethics approvals, grant deadlines and what real data actually looks like when it arrives.
You own what we build
Code, documentation and workflows are handed over to you, so your project keeps running long after our hours on it are finished.
Our Team
We are the people who will actually do the work — not account managers who pass it on. Everyone here has worked in research, so you will not have to explain what an ethics approval is or why the grant deadline matters.

If something you use is not on this list, ask anyway. Most of what we do is reading someone else’s setup and working out how to make it run.
